In the fall of 1999 a statue of David Staszak appeared in the Pilsen neighborhood. It is in front of a home on 18th Place, nearly a half-block east of Ashland Avenue, on the south side of the street. The statue now has a roof over its head. This life-size statue was commissioned by a woman who was very close to Dave and who provided the artist a photograph to use in creating the statue.
