The Province of Nigeria

For forty years the friars of the Central Province have labored to strengthen the Church in Nigeria. With a large parish in the environs of Lagos, pioneering work in Sokoto province in the north, and a strong presence at the University, Dominican men and women have built up the Body of Christ with great sacrifice and great success. Native vocations to the Dominican order have flourished and now a mostly-Nigerian new Province continues to grow.
