Psalm
87 Thursday Morning 3
O city founded by him on the
holy mountains, * Yahweh loves you, gates of Zion.
He who made perfect the
glorious dwellings of Jacob * speaks in you, city of God:
“I shall inscribe Egypt and
Babylon * among those who acknowledge me,
even Philistia, Tyre and Ethiopia: * ‘This one was born there.’”
But of Zion it will be said: * “Each and every one was born
in it, * and the Most High will make it secure.”
Yahweh will write down in the register of the peoples, * “This
one was born there.”
And all who have suffered in
you * will sing and dance.
