Teach me, Yahweh, * the way
of your statutes, * that I may guard it as a reward.
Give me insight to observe
your law, * and keep it with all my heart.
Direct me in the path of your
commandments, * for I delight in it.
Move my heart to your terms,
* and not to wrongful gain.
Keep my eyes from looking at
idols, * by your power give me life.
Maintain your promise to your
servant, * because truly I fear you.
Remove my reproach because I
revere you, * since your rules are good.
See how I long for your
precepts; * in your justice give me life.
