Psalm 28 Friday Midday 1
To you, Yahweh, I call; * my Rock, be not silent toward me.
If you do not answer me, * I will be like those who go down to the Pit.
Hear my plea for mercy * as I cry to you,
as I lift up my hands * toward your sacred shrine.
Do not rank me with the wicked, * nor with the evildoers,
who talk peace with their neighbors, * with treachery in their hearts.
Do to them as they have done, * as their evil actions merit.
For the work of their hands repay them; * give them what they deserve.
For they have no regard * for what Yahweh has done * nor for the work of his hands.
He will tear them down * and never rebuild them.
Praised be Yahweh! * for he has heard my plea for mercy.
Yahweh is my sturdy shield; * in him my heart has trusted.
I have become young again; * my heart leaps for joy; * so with my song I will praise him.
Yahweh is our stronghold and our refuge; * he is the Savior of his anointed.
Give your people victory, * and bless your patrimony; * shepherd them and carry them forever.
