Your hands made me and fashioned me; * give me insight that I may learn your commandments.

Those who fear you will see me and rejoice, * because I wait for your word.

I know, Yahweh, * that your are just in your judgments, * and for the sake of truth you afflicted me.

Let your kindness be my comfort, * according to your promise to your servant.

Let your mercies come to me that I may live, * since your law is my delight.

Let the presumptuous be humiliated, * because with guile they tried to pervert me, * but I meditated on your commandments.

Let those who fear you turn to me, * that they may know your terms.

May my heart be blameless in your statutes, * that I may not be shamed.
