54 Tuesday Midday 2
God, save me by your Name, *
and by your might defend me.
God, hear my prayer; * listen to the words of my mouth,
because foreigners have risen against me, * and ruffians seek
my life, * unaware that God is my Leader.
See how God became my helper, * the Lord the Sustainer of
my life!
He turned back evil on my defamers, * in his fidelity he
wiped them out.
For your honor I will sacrifice to you, Yahweh, * I will praise
your Name, so excellent.
From all my adversaries It
rescued me, * and my eye saw my enemies' defeat.
