Psalm 114 Sunday Evening 1
After Israel left Egypt, * and Jacob that brutal people,
Judah became his sanctuary, * Israel his own domain.
The Dead Sea saw him and fled; * the Jordan River turned back.
The mountains skipped like rams, * the hills like lambs.
What happened, Sea, that you fled? * Jordan, why turn back?
Mountains, why leap like rams? * hills, like lambs?
Tremble, earth, before the Lord, * before the God of Jacob,
who turned rock to a pool of water, * flint to a flowing spring.
