Psalm 115 Sunday Evening 2
Not for our sake, Yahweh, * not for our sake,
but for the sake of your name * display your glory,
because of your kindness, * because of your faithfulness,
lest the nations say, * “Where, indeed, is their God?”
Though our God is in heaven, * whatever he wills, he does.
Their idols are silver and gold, * the work of human hands.
They have mouths, but do not speak.
They have eyes, but do not see.
They have ears, but do not hear.
They have noses, but do not smell.
They have hands, but do not feel.
They have feet, but do not walk.
With their throats they cannot make sound.
Like them shall their makers become, * everyone who trusts in them.
Israel, trust in Yahweh; * your Helper and Master is he!
House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh; * your Helper and Master is he!
You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh; * your Helper and Master is he!
Our throne may Yahweh bless;
may he bless the house of Israel;
may he bless the house of Aaron.
May he bless those who fear Yahweh,
the small with the great.
May Yahweh make you many,
you and your children.
May you be blessed by Yahweh, * who made heaven and earth.
The high heavens belong to Yahweh, * but he has entrusted the earth to men.
It is not the dead who praise Yah, * nor those who go down to the Dungeon.
But we will bless Yah * from now to eternity.
Hallelu-Yah!
